Teresa feels very blessed to be a citizen of the United States of America where freedom, rights and laws still reign supreme. After graduating from college, Teresa was offered a full scholarship and a Patricia Harris fellow to study law at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, home of one of the 25 oldest law schools in the United States. She received her Juris Doctorate in 1989 and became licensed to practice law in Florida. She initially represented large companies and employers in defense work and then eventually opened her own practice, in 1993, representing injured parties in both personal injury and worker’s compensation. In late, 2002, she had an opportunity to move to Colorado and became licensed to practice law in Colorado in 2003. That same year she opened her law firm with her business partner. She is a member of the Worker's Compensation Education Association, the Hispanic Bar Association and the firm is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Teresa considers herself humbled and privileged to help injured parties through the legal process and in securing them the maximum compensation that may be available to them in their individual claims.
